Jenna Griffith Counseling

Licensed Professional Counselor, Serving Adult Individuals in North Lake Tahoe

Home: Welcome

Hello and welcome! I am so glad you found me.

I will be your fellow traveler and guide as you adventure inward.

I specialize in utilizing mindfulness-based approaches for emotional health. I work with clients who may be struggling with anxiety or depression, related to relationship challenges or big life transitions. Since opening the doors of my practice in 2015, I have provided clients in Denver and Northern California with a wide range of mental health services.

I am passionate about the mind-body connection and working directly with the nervous system to create lasting change. I love incorporating these principles into individual counseling sessions for a holistic approach.

What You'll Gain in Therapy

Through our work together, you will gain practical tools for managing the ups and downs of life. You’ll learn mindfulness-based strategies for managing stress and anxiety, while improving your relationships with others.

As a result, you’ll discover more clarity, calm and confidence. You'll feel more balanced and centered in the face of challenges. You’ll also begin to trust in yourself, knowing that there’s nothing you can’t handle.

In my practice, I utilize:

  • Acceptance and Commitment-Based Therapy (ACT)

  • Somatic (body-based) Therapy

  • Mindfulness and guided meditation

  • Breathing Practices

  • Yoga Psychology

The work we do will incorporate the latest in neuroscience to directly impact your nervous system. You'll learn how to interrupt the feedback loops that are keeping you stuck and rewire your brain to form healthy habits.

About Me

My path to becoming a counselor was not linear, but here I am. After struggling with my own anxiety and depression, I took a deep dive into finding healing. I was seeking holistic ways to bring the mind and body back into balance. In this, I discovered the transformative power of yoga, movement and meditation. It truly changed me.

I have since completed certifications in Yoga, Reiki, Wellness Coaching, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and Rapid Resolution Therapy for Trauma.

For me, the common thread between all of these practices is mindfulness.

Upon graduating with a Master's in Counseling Psychology in 2015, I started in private practice, specializing in mindfulness-based approaches to therapy. I have seen the effectiveness of mindfulness in working with anxiety, depression and trauma, and have successfully used the tools for healing my own.

I also fulfilled a long-time professional dream when I began leading groups and workshops on the Psychology of Yoga for and Yoga for Emotional Health. It had always been my vision to combine Western Science with Eastern wisdom.

Over the last 10+ years of working with people, I am honored to have witnessed the incredible growth that can occur with some courage and perseverance. I strive to provide a warm, non-judgmental environment, where it is safe to be your human self.

When not in the office, you can find me hiking, biking, or hanging with my toddler and partner in the mountains of Lake Tahoe.
