Hello and welcome! I am so glad you found me.
I work with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or big life transitions. I specialize in utilizing mindfulness-based approaches to mental health. With 10+ years of seeing clients, I have extensive experience with most issues that come up in therapy.
Together, we will get to the root of the issue and identify what's needed for you to move forward. I'll be there to support you in creating a healthy, fulfilling life.
I am passionate about the mind-body connection and working directly with the nervous system to create lasting change. I love incorporating these principles into individual counseling sessions for a holistic approach.
I offer in-person sessions, as well as virtual sessions, for residents of CA or CO.
What You'll Gain in Therapy
Throughout the course of therapy, you will gain practical tools for enhancing your psychological resilience and improving your everyday life. You’ll also learn mindfulness-based strategies for handling difficult thoughts and feelings effectively, so that they have much less impact and influence.
Additionally, you'll receive guidance in identifying your core values, so that you can take action toward what matters to you most.
In my practice, I utilize:
Acceptance and Commitment-Based Therapy (ACT)
Somatic Therapy
Mindfulness and guided meditation
Breathing Practices
Yoga Psychology
The work we do will incorporate the latest in neuroscience to directly impact your nervous system. You'll learn both cognitive skills and body-based approaches to interrupt the feedback loops that are keeping you stuck and rewire your brain toward healthy habits.
Clients typically report feeling more grounded, having greater self-esteem, and noticing improved communication as a result of counseling.
Mindfulness means paying attention with flexibility, openness and curiousity.
We can use mindfulness to connect to ourselves and appreciate the fullness of each moment. We can use it to increase our self-knowledge. We can use it to connect deeply and intimately with others. And we can use it to consciously shift our behavior and increase our ability to respond, rather than react, in any given situation.
It is the art of living consciously -- to feel empowered to move toward a full, rich and meaningful life.
No prior knowledge of mindfulness or meditation is needed. I will be your guide and fellow traveler as you adventure inward.
"Between the stimulus and response, there is a space. And in that space lies our freedom and power to choose our responses.”
